Ronald G. Singerman, President of Art Construction Co.
Mr. Singerman became involved in the construction industry upon
arriving in Miami in the early 50's. For several years, he was
a Sales Representative for Daryl Products Corporation. In the
mid 60's he became a partner in Art Construction Co., and since
the mid 70's has been the sole owner of the company.
Mr. Singerman been involved in all phases of General Construction
work including: large commercial warehouse and showrooms; real
estate development: restaurant construction; and the construction
of multi-million dollar private residences. He has also been involved
in the start up and design of several national restaurant operations
for which Art Construction delivered total construction packages.
Mr. Singerman provides a unique expertise in bringing together
multiple disciplines to solve complex construction problems in
a timely and efficient manner.
To expand operations, in the late 60’s a subsidiary company called
Intercor, was formed to provide Construction Management services
in addition to the General Contacting work Art had been performing.
Intercor has completed a large number of branch banks, single
family residential developments, commercial projects, condominium
projects, and has represented Owners in a number of legal actions
involving defective construction work performed by other firms.
Intercor also acts as a consultant in for real estate acquisition
companies in evaluating on-site conditions of existing properties
which are under negotiations for purchase.
Art Construction has performed many pro-bono projects including
construction of the Komodo Dragon Exhibit at Miami Metrozoo. Art
Construction has a long history in the community, and in some
cases has maintained client relationships in excess of twenty-five
years. Most notably, with Joe’s Stone Crab Restaurant.
Mr. Singerman has been involved in several organizations in the
community; such as being a member of Friends of the Arts of the
University of Miami, for which he served as a Treasurer for a
period of four years. Mr. Singerman also served as a member of
Miami Beach Tourist and Convention Center Expansion Authority
for the over eight years, during which time he served for five
years as Chairman of the Authority. In this capacity, the authority
was responsible for the selection of an architectural and engineering
team for the construction of the wrap around of the Miami Beach
Convention Center, expanding the building to one million square
feet. Upon completion of plans, the Authority selected a General
Contractor and monitored the complete construction package. The
project was brought in on time, and in budget, at a cost that
was fifty percent lower than any other convention center of its
size in the United States.
Mr. Singerman attended both John Carrol University and Ohio State
University. Art Construction Company is a long standing member
Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce.
